Companion Systems is looking for the right person to join our Development team and contribute to the introduction of new features in our products.
Coding, documenting and testing.
This is a new position. You will work within the existing development team undertaking specific coding projects. We follow a strict procedure in our development which involves recording detailed notes, time allocation and testing results. We develop all of our software in-house, keeping strict control on quality, integrity and consistency.
To be eligible for this role you must:
- Have an Australian University degree in Computer Science (not Information Technology)
- Have experience in the Microsoft.Net, Framework 4.0.
- Have experience using VB.Net in a Windows Forms environment. We use Visual Basic.Net.
- Have a good understanding of Relational Database concepts.
- Proficient at testing and documenting your work.
Things that would be advantageous:
- Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above.
- Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) experience.

This is a fulltime position within our growing company. We are scoping new solutions for development to automate further aspects of the markets we choose to work in.
You will need to be able to demonstrate fantastic coding and documenting skills. You don't need to know everything but what you do know, you need to be able to demonstrate and document.
You must have good communication skills for working with others in the development team and with our clients where required, both verbal and written. Be keen to learn and research solutions so have a key interest in learning.
These attributes we can't teach you, you have to have yourself. Training on all other aspects of the role will be provided.
We are based in the Parramatta CBD and work normal business hours Monday to Friday.
